Body
WHEREAS, Louis Caputo is a Senior at Blue Springs High School with an exceptional record of achievement in academics and sports; and,
WHEREAS, Louis maintains a 4.14 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and ranks twelfth in his class of 533 students; and,
WHEREAS, Louis scored a 1310 out of 1500 on his SAT; and,
WHEREAS, Louis is also the Senior Class President and a Student Senate representative; and,
WHEREAS, Louis made the National Honor Roll from 2002-2005 and the Principal's Honor Roll from 2001-2005; and,
WHEREAS, Louis's academic awards include Who's Who Among American High School Students in 2005 and Academic All-State from 2003-2005; and,
WHEREAS, Louis has not only achieved great accomplishments in his academics, but he has also excelled in sports; and,
WHEREAS, as a member of the Blue Springs Wrestling Team, he has won three (3) Missouri High School State Championships, was the 2003 Large Class (Class 3) Wrestler of the Year, was a three (3) time Conference Champion, a two (2) time District Champion, the 2005 District Wrestler of the Year, a three (3) time Blue Springs Wrestling Team MVP, the 2004 All-Metro Wrestler of the Year, and the 2005 Large Class (Class 4) Wrestler of the Year; and,
WHEREAS, in the national division, Louis was named an All-American wrestler from 2002-2004, Cadet National Runner-Up in 2002 (Freestyle), Cadet National Champion in 2003 (Greco-Roman), Cadet National Runner-Up in 2003 (Freestyle), and 2004 Junior National Runner-Up (Greco-Roman); now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Louis Caputo on his astonishing accomplishments in sports and academics and wishes him the best in all his pursuits.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
