AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from District A (Agricultural) to District RR (Residential Ranchette), a certain 10 ± acre tract.

ORDINANCE # 3416, September 15, 2003

 Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows:

Description:  A 10 ± acre tract of land generally located ½ mile north of Blue Mills Road on the west side of Wood Road and more specifically described as:

 

Part of the North-half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 6, Township 50, Range 30, located in Jackson County, Missouri being described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Southeast Quarter; Thence N87̊53'24"W along the North line of said North-half, a distance of 95.09 feet to the Point of Beginning and the West right-of-way line of Wood Road (as now established), recorded in Book I1607, Page 1135 in the office of recorder of deeds, in Independence, Jackson County, Missouri; Thence S0̊26'46"W along said right-of-way, a distance of 207.99 feet to a curve to the right having a radius of 271.13 feet and tangent to the last described course; Thence along said curve to the right an arc distance of 58.49 feet;  Thence S36̊09'10"W along said right-of-way, a distance of 277.81 feet; Thence S12̊16'19"W along said right-of-way, a distance of 1.39 feet; Thence N87̊53'27"W, a distance of 762.94 feet;

Thence N3̊57"54"E, a distance of 497.94 feet to the North line of said Southeast Quarter;

 

Thence S87̊53'24"E along said North line, a distance of 901.15 feet to the Point of Beginning.  Containing 435,613.21 Square Feet, more or less

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Scott Seymour ( RZ-2003-312), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on August  21, 2003, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
