Body
WHEREAS, Greater Kansas City Hispanic Collaborative provides community drug treatment and crime prevention activities to area high school students; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Greater Kansas City Hispanic Collaborative program is primarily funded by the Sprint Foundation, in the award amount of $15,000.00; and,
 
WHEREAS, these funds are subject to a local match in the amount of $5,000.00; and
 
WHEREAS, the execution of this agreement is in the best interest of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with Greater Kansas City Hispanic Collaborative, in a form to be a approved by the County Counselor, to provide a local match to a private grant, at a cost to the County not to exceed $5,000.00; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
