BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows:
Description:
A 7.4 ± acre tract of land generally located at the northwest corner of Corn Road and Colbern Road and more specifically:
All that part of the Northwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 26, Township 48 North, Range 30 West, in Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner of said quarter quarter section; thence South 89 degrees 29 minutes 41 seconds East along the South line of said quarter quarter section a distance of 712.10 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing South 89 degrees 29 minutes 41 seconds East along the South line of said quarter quarter section a distance of 389.90 feet to the Southwest corner of a tract of land conveyed by Warranty Deed under Document No. I-205958, in book I-582 at Page 1350; thence North 00 degrees 30 minutes 19 seconds East (Deed = North 0 degrees 10 minutes East) a distance of 420.00 feet to the Northwest corner of said tract; thence South 89 degrees 29 minutes 41 seconds East along the North line of said tract a distance of 210.11 feet (Deed = 210 feet) to the Northeast corner of said tract; thence North 00 degrees 29 minutes 56 seconds East (Deed = North 0 degrees 10 minutes East) along the East line of said quarter quarter section a distance of 266.87 feet; thence North 89 degrees 29 minutes 41 seconds West (Deed = North 89 degrees 50 minutes West) a distance of 599.91 feet; thence South 00 degrees 30 minutes 42 seconds West a distance of 686.87 feet to the point of beginning.
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Steve McBride (RZ-2000-210), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on October 19, 2000, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
