WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited proposals on Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 24-066 for the furnishing of a broker for property insurance for use by the Finance Department; and,
WHEREAS, a total of eighteen notifications were distributed and four responses were received, one of which was rejected by Purchasing, with the remaining proposals as following:

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a twelve-month contract with four twelve month options to extend for the furnishing of the required services to Lockton Companies of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best proposal; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2024 Self-Insurance Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director Finance and Purchasing and that the director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
