IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION awarding a contract on Bid No. 87-95 for the furnishing of a chip spreader for use by the Department of Public Works to G. W. Van Keppel of Kansas City, KS, in the actual amount of $138,312.00, and declaring one 1975 Etnyre Model 74 chip spreader, Serial Number K3930, as surplus and authorizing its disposal by way of a trade-in. Intro RESOLUTION #10948, September 5, 1995 INTRODUCED BY Victor E. Callahan, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 87-95 for the furnishing of a chip spreader for use by the Public Works Department; and, WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest two bids thereon the following: VENDOR BID G. W. Van Keppel $138,312.00 Kansas City, KS Halco, Inc. $154,000.00 Kansas City, KS and, WHEREAS, he has recommended that award be made to G. W. Van Keppel of Kansas City, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and, WHEREAS, the acquisition of this new chip spreader has rendered the existing 1975 Etnyre Model 74 chip spreader, Serial Number K3930, as surplus property; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this chip spreader by way of trade-in; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing chip spreader be and hereby is declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it by way of trade-in. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
