IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE appropriating $500,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 1997 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund to cover a pass-through from the City of Kansas City of funds received by the City on a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant from the United States Department of Justice. Intro ORDINANCE 2745, October 13, 1997 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City has been notified that it has been awarded a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant by the United States Department of Justice; and, WHEREAS, the City has proposed to pass-through a portion of the grant's proceeds to the County for use in County anti-drug programs; and, WHEREAS, the funds will be turned over to the County pursuant to a cooperative agreement with the City, which remains subject to the approval by the Legislature; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 1997 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund: Department/Division Character Description From To Increase Revenue 500,000 Unappropriated Surplus 500,000 Unappropriated Surplus 500,000 Prosecuting Attorney Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Regular Salaries 254,218 F.I.C.A.
