IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to RE (Residential Estates), a certain 4.5 + acre tract. Intro ORDINANCE 2835, August 3, 1998 Body BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows: Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows: Description: A 4.5 ñ acre tract of land generally located 4/10 of a mile east of Harris Road on the west side of Missouri Highway 150 and more specifically described as follows: That part of the east half of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 25, Township 47 North, Range 31 West of the 5th Principal Meridian in Jackson County, Missouri lying west of the west right of way line of Route 150, described as follows: Commencing at the northeast corner of said east half; thence on an assumed bearing of north 89 degrees 53 minutes 30 seconds west along the north line of said east half a distance of 11.10 feet to a point in the west right of way line of said Route 150 for the point of beginning of the land to be described; Thence south 00 degrees 10 minutes 57 seconds east along said west right of way line a distance of 305.65 feet; thence north 89 degrees 13 minutes 15 seconds west a distance of 652.95 feet to a point in the west line of said east half; thence 00 degrees 01 minute 09 seconds east along said west line a distance of 298.00 feet to the northwest corner of said east half; thence south 89 degrees 53 minutes 30 seconds east along said north line a distance of 651.82 feet to the point of beginning. Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Glen Porter (RZ-98-112), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on July 16, 1998, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning...Attorney Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
