WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department currently has a need for three Wide-Area Mowers, two Zero-Turn Mowers, a 5105M Utility Tractor, and a Landpride Brush Cutter for fleet replacement; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.4 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Parks + Rec and the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommend the award of a contract for the lease of three Wide-Area Mowers, two Zero-Turn Mowers, a 5105M Utility Tractor, and a Landpride Brush Cutter for use by the Parks + Rec Department to Van Wall Equipment of Lenexa, KS, under the terms and conditions of Sourcewell Ag Tractors Contract No. 082923-DAC and Sourcewell Grounds Maintenance Contract No. 112624-DAC an existing competitively bid government contract, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $115,585.00; and,
WHEREAS, an award under the Sourcewell contracts is recommended due to the significant discounts offered to larger entities; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the award be made under the existing competitively bid government contract as recommended by the Director of Parks + Rec and Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Directors be and hereby are authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
