Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 32-04 for the furnishing of title ownership & encumbrance reports for use by the Public Works Department in acquisitions necessary for road construction and improvement projects to provide for the Public Works Department's needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has received as the only bid thereon from the following:
VENDOR BID
Golden Shield, LLC $32,650.00
Grain Valley, MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Golden Shield, LLC of Grain Valley, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award for the furnishing of title ownership & encumbrance reports for use by the Public Works Department be made to Golden Shield, LLC of Grain Valley, MO, in the estimated amount not to exceed $32,650.00 as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
