Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works, at the request of the Parks and Recreation Department, has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. PW-01-99 for the Longview Lake - Fred Arbanas Golf Course Cartpath Replacement, Phase III, Project No. 2393; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon the following:

Overland Park, KS
Pyramid Excavation & Construction Co. $132,500.00
Shawnee, KS
MEGA Industries Corp. $143,910.50
Kansas City, MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to List & Clark Construction Co., of Overland Park, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, the bid documents reserve the right to increase the quantity of materials in order to fully utilize funds available for this project, which would increase the actual contract price to $134,983.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that a contract on Bid No. PW-01-99 in the actual amount of $134,983.00, be awarded to List & Clark Construction Co., of Overland Park, KS, as the lowest and best bidder; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works be and hereby is authorized to adjust the contract line item quantities provided that, in doing so, there is no additional financial obligation to the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, except final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
