Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 2-10 for the furnishing of eight (8) pontoon boats for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
 
WHEREAS, a total of forty-one (41) notifications were distributed and seven (7) responses  were received, with the three lowest bidders as follows:
            BIDDER                                    TOTAL BASE BID
 
Blue Springs Marine, Blue Springs (Jackson), MO            $115,160.00
 
Smithville Marine, Smithville (Clay), MO                        $125,680.00
 
Playcraft Boats, Richland (Camden), MO                  $127,200.00
 
and,
 
 
 
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that award be made to Blue Springs Marine of Blue Springs, MO, as the lowest and best bidder; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
