AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established pursuant to the Unified Development Code by rezoning a certain 4.87± acre tract from District AG (Agricultural) to District RE (Residential Estates).

Body

 BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "AG" (Agricultural) and “RE” (Residential Estates) Districts, so that there will be transferred from District AG to District RE a 4.87± tract of land located at 7003 S. Moreland School Road in Jackson County, MO, legally described as follows:

 

Description: Part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 48, Range 30, Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Northwest corner of said section 9; thence North 88 degrees 11 minutes 53 seconds West, along the South line of said Quarter Quarter, a distance of 1317.14 feet, to the Southwest corner of the Southeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 9; thence North 01 degree 39 minutes 47 seconds

East, along the West line of said Quarter Quarter, being also the West line of Lot 1, Easy Acres, a subdivision in Jackson County Missouri, a distance of 160.71 feet, to the

Northwest corner of said Lot 1, Easy Acres, also being the true point of beginning;

thence continuing North 01 degree 39 minutes 47 seconds East, a distance of 68.18

feet, to the south corner of a tract of land described in Document Number 1998I0038196, in Jackson County Missouri, said point being 228.89 feet North of

Southwest corner of said Quarter Quarter; thence North 10 degrees 35 minutes 29

seconds East, along the East line of a tract of land recorded in Document 1998I0038196, a distance of 269.77 feet, to the intersection of said East line and the

South line of Dove’s Nest, a subdivision in Jackson County, Missouri; thence South 88

degrees 13 minutes 07 seconds East, along South line of said Dove’s Nest, a distance

of 600.33 feet, to the Northwest corner of Lot 2 of said Easy Acres; thence South 01

degrees 47 minutes 04 seconds West along the West line of said Lot 2, Easy Acres, a

distance of 336.90 feet, to the Northeast corner of said Lot 1, Easy Acres; thence North

88 degrees 01 minutes 48 seconds West along the North line of said Lot 1 Easy Acres a

distance of 648.49 feet, to the Northwest corner of said Lot 1, also being the true point of beginning.

 

 

Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Nick Arndorfer, (RZ-2026-709), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 5 to 0 to recommend APPROVAL of this application after a public hearing on January 15, 2026, does hereby adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
