Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's office has a need for certain Apple computers and accessories which are compatible with its existing equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.05 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, desires to purchase said equipment, under an existing government fixed-price contractual document, Apple Computer's February 1996 Educational and Government Price List, from Apple Computer of Chicago, IL; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984 requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the purchase under the existing government fixed- price contractual document be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
