Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Corrections has a need for the furnishing of various items of mattresses, bedding, and linens for departmental operations; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of twelve (12) month term and supply contracts for the furnishing of various items of mattresses, bedding, and linens for use by the Department of Corrections from Bob Barker Co. of Fuquay Varina, NC; ATD-American Co. of Wyncote, PA; and Tabb Textile Co. of Opelika, AL, under the terms and conditions set forth in Electronic Solicitation No. BB200511 as the best and lowest bidders meeting the specifications and requirements of the bid; and,
WHEREAS, a total of 37 solicitations were distributed and 13 responses were received. The following are recommended for award:

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchase is subject to annual appropriations; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made to Bob Barker, Co., of Fuquay Varina, NC; ATD-American Co., of Wyncote, PA; and Tabb Textile Co., of Opelika, AL, as recommended and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make payments to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
