Body

WHEREAS, by Ordinance #3471, dated March 1, 2004, the County Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an Agreement with Truman Medical Center Behavioral Health Network ("Administrator"), to administer a Mental Health Court grant program at a cost to the County not to exceed $150,000.00 using a grant award from the U.S. Department of Justice; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Mental Health Court Administrator recommends that the grant period be extended for one year beginning September 1, 2005 through August 31, 2006 to facilitate the use of unspent grant funds and has received approval for the extension from the U.S. Department of Justice; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the extension of the grant award and proposed use of unspent grant funds is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement as may be required for extension of the grant award for the Mental Health Court as recommended at no additional cost to the County; and, 

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the Agreement.

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
