IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE extending the boundaries of Salem East Sewer District 95. Intro ORDINANCE 2931, July 19, 1999 INTRODUCED BY Lisa White Hardwick, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, pursuant to 249.430 - .660 et seq., RSMo 1994, the former Jackson County Court did, on December 19, 1966, order the creation of Salem East Sewer District 95; and, WHEREAS, the Director of the Public Works Department has determined that it is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County that the boundary of said district be extended to allow for the construction of sanitary sewer lines in an area generally located adjacent to the east boundary of said district, as more specifically described below: Churchill Estates Legal Description: Part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 50, Range 31, Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 50, Range 31; thence West, 564.29 feet; thence North, 1617 feet; thence West, 247.5 feet; thence North 17 degrees East, 319.65 feet; thence East, 722.7 feet to the East Section line; thence South along the said Section line, 1916.64 feet to beginning. Also, beginning at the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 20, Township 50, Range 31; thence West, 564.29 feet; thence South, 600 feet to the center of Old Lexington Road; thence Northeasterly along the center line of Old Lexington Road, to a point where said road Intersects the East line of said Section; thence North, 261 feet along said Section line to the point of beginning, except part in highway. "Oppermann" Property legal description: Beginning at the S.W. corner of the NW 1/4 of Section 21, Twp. 50, Rng. 31, in Jackson County, Missouri; thence along the West line of said 1/4 section due South 118.92 feet to a point on the Northerly right of way line of U.S. Highway No. 24, said point being 111 feet opposite survey center line Sta. 209+98.18 of the Westbound lane of said highway; thence along the Northerly right of way line of said highway with an initial tangent bearing of North 73 degrees 06 minutes 04 seconds East in an Easterly direction along a curve to the right (having a radius of 1552.51 feet) 316.77 feet to the point of tangent, said point being 115 feet opposite survey center line Sta. 212+92.3; thence continuing along said highway right of way line North 84 degrees 47 « minutes East 47.3 feet to a point 115 feet opposite survey center line Sta. 213+39.6 BK=Sta. 222+02.9 AH; thence continuing along said highway right of way line North 84 degrees 47 « minutes East 195.25 feet to a point 115 feet opposite survey center line Sta. 223+98.15; thence parallel to the West line of said 1/4 section due North 292.35 feet; thence at right angles to the West line of said 1/4 section due West 551.91 feet to a point on the West line of said 1/4 section; thence along the West line of said 1/4 section due South 256.08 feet to the point of beginning, containing 178,550 square feet or 4.099 acres more or less. WHEREAS, pursuant to 249.490, RSMo 1994, the Director of the Public Works Department recommends that the boundaries of Salem East Sewer District be altered to include said tracts; and, WHEREAS, the Legislature deems it necessary to alter the boundaries of Salem East Sewer District 95 as recommended, for sanitary purposes; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the boundaries of Salem East Sewer District 95 be and hereby are altered to include the land described herein...Attorney Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
