Body
WHEREAS, the Blue Springs High cheerleaders recently won two District 4A state championships, at the Missouri State Cheerleading competition in Columbia, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, the two state titles went to the coed varsity squad and the all-girls junior varsity squad; and,
WHEREAS, both squads qualified for state competition after placing first at the regional competition in Grandview, MO; and,
WHEREAS, members of the 1996 cheerleading squads include Krisi Brown, Morgan Conley, Emily Copenhaver, Kara Davis, Robin Eckert, Jennifer Ewing, Laurie Hamilton, Nate Ireland, Sean Ketcherside, Danielle Luvin, Jenifer McCain, Kresha Richardson, Ken Smith, Tony Stevenson, Katelyn Swezy, Greg Terry, Danielle Thibodeau, Krislyn Thurman, Brandon Tyner, Mika Welch, Kristin Atkinson, Erica Clear, Courtney Eastwood, Tina Glover, Jill Hoffman, Joan Lopez, Josilynn Munckton, Dana Parrish, Tracy Pendleton, and Angie Rehak; and,
WHEREAS, the sponsors who led these outstanding squads are Shannon Fry and Jenny Skouse; and,
WHEREAS, congratulations go out to both the coed varsity squad and all-girls junior varsity squad of Blue Springs High School for their exceptional win and for the countless hours of practice that went into achieving their goals; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Blue Springs High School's 1996 cheerleaders on their victories as regional and Missouri Class 4A state champions...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
