IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION transferring $27,698.00 within the 1995 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund, and authorizing the County Executive to execute an Addendum to an Agreement with the Jackson County Drug Enforcement Task Force, at no additional cost to the County. Intro RESOLUTION # 10804 April 24, 1995 INTRODUCED BY Lisa White Hardwick, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 9321, approved June, 15, 1992, the County and the Jackson County Drug Enforcement Task Force entered into an Agreement, whereunder the County agreed to pay certain funds to Task Force for law enforcement services under the auspices and funding of the Anti-Drug Sales Tax; and, WHEREAS, the Agreement has been successively renewed since then to the present time, without modification; and, WHEREAS, experience and usage have shown that it would be more cost effective for the function of the Task Force's property custodian to be performed by civilian, rather than sworn peace officer personnel; and, WHEREAS, the Agreement, and particularly paragraph three thereof, currently requires a staffing level of 25 law enforcement officers and 3 civilian employees; and, WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has approved the modification of staffing proposed by the Task Force; and, WHEREAS, a transfer within the 1995 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund is necessary to cover the modification of staffing proposed by the Task Force; and, WHEREAS, the County Executive has recommended said transfer; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 1995 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund: Department/Division Character Description From To Prosecuting Attorney Jackson County Drug Task Force Other Contractual Svcs. 27,698 Regular Salaries 19,989 FICA Taxes 1,530 Pension Contributions 1,599 Insurance Benefits 3,240 Unemployment Insurance 100 Worker's Compensation 280 Vacation Payout 400 Sick Leave Payout 400 Long Term Disability 100 Life Insurance 60 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute an Addendum to the Agreement with the Jackson County Drug Enforcement Task Force to allow it to provide 4 rather than 3 civilian employees and 24 rather than 25 sworn law enforcement officers. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
