Body
WHEREAS, the Legislature approved Resolution 14823, on December 16, 2003, awarding a twelve (12) month term & supply contract under Bid No. 43-03 to Mark One Electric of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, for the furnishing of maintenance services for softball field lights for the Parks & Recreation Department in the total estimated usage amount of $6,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, based upon actual volume of usage and the continuing need for such services, an extension of the term and an increase in the annual estimated usage is recommended to provide for these services for the period from December 17, 2004 to December 16, 2005; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended an increase of $8,000.00 for a total award amount not to exceed $14,000.00 through the extended term of the contract; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the extension of an additional twelve (12) months from the period of December 17, 2004 to December 17, 2005 to the term of the previous award under Bid No. 43-03 and an increase of $8,000.00 for a total estimated usage amount not to exceed $14,000.00 be and hereby is made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
