Body
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
 
Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:

The 5 ± acres are less than one-half mile west of Ketterman Road on the north side of Pink Hill Road and specifically described as all that part of the west half of the south 60 acres of the southwest quarter of Section 17, Township 49, Range 29, Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as:  
 
Description: Commencing at the southwest corner of said southwest quarter; thence south 88̊41'58" east along the south line of said southwest quarter a distance of 330.74 feet, to the true point of beginning; thence north 01̊02'50" west a distance of 1986.39 feet to the north line of said south 60 acres; thence south 88̊36'01" east along said north line a distance of 330.79 feet to the northwest corner of tract described in document No. I-701044 in Book 1-1558 at page 14 of Jackson County Records; thence south 01̊02'48" east along the west line thereof a distance of 1985.82 feet to the south line of said southwest quarter; thence north 88̊41'58" west along the south line of said southwest quarter a distance of 330.74 feet to the point of beginning, except that part in county road, aka 37308 E. Pink Hill Road.
 
 
Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of James Thompson (RZ-2008-461), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application in a public hearing on December 18, 2008, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
 
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
