Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Commission has recommended that the County Executive be authorized to execute agreements with certain outside agencies engaged in anti-drug law enforcement, treatment, and prevention activities, requiring a local match to grant funds, for services from January 1, 2012, to December 31, 2012, as is more fully set out on the schedule attached hereto as Exhibit A; and,
 
WHEREAS, the execution of agreements for the services of these agencies, in the amounts indicated on Exhibit A, is in the best interest of the health, welfare and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute agreements with the outside agencies listed on the attached Exhibit A, in the respective amounts indicated, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements.
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
