Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County has been awarded a grant in the amount of $102,952.00 by the Missouri Department of Public Safety for a program focused on prevention and prosecution of sexual assaults in Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, this grant partially funds the salaries of three full-time prosecutors for this program; and,
WHEREAS, the grant is subject to a local match in the amount of $95,034.00; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary in order to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer from the 2007 General Fund and appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2007 Grant Fund be and are hereby made:
