Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 571., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Persistent Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) Offender Fund was established to receive payments from defendants prosecuted as persistent DWI offenders; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 571.3, Jackson County Code, the Prosecuting Attorney recommends that funds in the amount of $2,000.00 be appropriated to provide for staff salaries with the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to defray the cost of DWI prosecution; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the necessary funds in the appropriate spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the 2013 Persistent DWI Offender Fund be and hereby is made:
