Title

AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established pursuant to the Unified Development Code by changing from District A (Agricultural) to District RR (Residential Ranchette), a certain 5 ± acres for a one-lot residential subdivision to be known as "Saddlebred Estates".

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:

Description: 

 

The 5 ± acres are approximately ½ ± mile east of Hamilton Road on the north side of County Line Road and specifically described as part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 34, Township 47, Range 30, Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows:

 

Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 34; thence South 89E53'12" West along the South line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 34, 1166.08 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence continue along said line South 89E53'12" West, 480.39 feet; thence North 02E10'34" East, 451.36 feet; thence North 89E53'12" East, 480.90 feet; thence South 02E14'25" West, 451.38 feet to the Point of Beginning.  Containing 4.98 acres, more or less, and subject to any easements and except any part in the public road.

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Scott Niemeyer (RZ-2007-443), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application at a public hearing on November 15, 2007, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
