Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17241, dated April 12, 2010, the Legislature did authorize the execution of cooperative agreements with certain municipalities within Jackson County for 2010 D.A.R.E. program funding; and,
 
WHEREAS, the COMBAT staff and Jackson County Drug Commission now recommend  supplemental funding to these DARE programs, in the following amounts:
MUNICIPALITY                        ALLOCATION
City of Blue Springs                   $    5,274.00                   
City of Grain Valley                         $            1,955.00
City of Grandview                         $            1,523.00
City of Independence                   $             8,469.00
City of Kansas City                         $  11,905.00
City of Lee's Summit                   $  10,632.00
City of Oak Grove                         $    1,220.00
 
                        TOTAL          $   40,978.00
 
now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute addenda to the cooperative agreements with the cities of Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Grandview, Independence, Kansas City, Lee's Summit, and Oak Grove at a total cost to the County not to exceed $40,978.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts and addenda thereto.
 
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
