WHEREAS, it has become necessary, in connection with the Buckner Tarsney @ Colbern Road Intersection (Tract No. 1) Project, No. 2388, to acquire a right-of-way over, and to cause certain damage to, the property of certain property owners, Heartland Developers, Inc., and First National Bank; and,
WHEREAS, the owners have agreed to convey said right-of-way, and to settle the claim for damages and have executed a conveyance in favor of the County in consideration of the total payment of $20,329.82; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of the Department of Finance issue two checks, payable to: 1) Heartland Developers, Inc., and First National Bank in the amount of $18,000.00; and 2) Manager of Finance, Jackson County, MO, in the amount of $2,329.82, representing delinquent taxes, and that the checks be delivered to the Department of Public Works, c/o Martha Poe, Engineering Division, for appropriate disposition...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
