Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 10-10 for the furnishing of auto/truck parts from non-dealer sources for use by various county departments; and,
WHEREAS, a total of 21 solicitations were distributed and three responses received; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be divided and awarded to the following vendors as the lowest and best bids in order to give the departments the flexibility to obtain parts at the lowest prices and avoid out-of-stock situations:

now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing to Genuine Parts/NAPA of Blue Springs, MO, Factory Motor Parts of Lee's Summit, MO, and O'Reilly Automotive of Springfield, MO, for the upcoming twenty-four month period, with three twelve-month options for extension; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary, including future options to extend, to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and extensions, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
