Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission was empowered by Ordinance #1771, #1795 and #1941 to make recommendations to the Legislature for the expenditure of Anti-Drug Sales Tax Funds for the purposes of treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders; and,
WHEREAS, Sunshine Center, Inc. has received funding in 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994 for this program upon the recommendation of the Fiscal Commission; and,
WHEREAS, Sunshine Center, Inc. submitted a proposal for 1995 funding for its continued work with families and children involved with substance abuse from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Trust Fund in the amount of $38,000; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has carefully reviewed this 1995 proposal from Sunshine Center, Inc; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has recommended funding in the amount of $38,000 from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax for Sunshine Center, Inc.'s proposal; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chair of the Fiscal Commission is hereby authorized to enter into the attached agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, with Sunshine Center, Inc; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
