Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission was empowered by Ordinances 1771, 1795, and 1941 to make recommendations to the Legislature for the expenditure of Anti-Drug Sales Tax Funds for the purposes of treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders; and,
WHEREAS, Truman Medical Center - East received funding through Resolution 10653, dated February 13, 1995, in the amount of $175,000, for its substance abuse treatment program upon the recommendation of the Fiscal Commission; and,
WHEREAS, Truman Medical Center - East has subcontracted with Resource Development Institute for assistance in providing these services; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has carefully reviewed a proposal from Truman Medical Center - East for additional substance abuse services to County residents and funding for these services; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has recommended an increase in services and additional funding in the amount of $35,000 for Truman Medical Center - East's proposal; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the attached addendum to the original agreement between the parties, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, with Truman Medical Center - East; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
