Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4483, dated November 27, 2012, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of the Emergency Management Performance Grant, awarded by the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency; and,
WHEREAS, this grant is used for the purchase of furniture and equipment for use by the Jackson County Emergency Operations Center; and,
WHEREAS, the County and the State Emergency Management Agency now desire to extend the grant to through August 31, 30, 2013, at no additional cost to the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Emergency Management Performance Grant, awarded by the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency, be and hereby is extended until August 31, 2013; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive and all other County officials be and hereby are authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to the extension.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
