IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an Agreement with the National Center for Fathering, to provide a six-month pilot program for clients of the Prosecuting Attorney's Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court programs, at a total cost to the County not to exceed $38,640.00. Intro RESOLUTION #11733, April 28, 1997 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the voters of Jackson County, Missouri, approved imposition of a sales tax for seven years to provide funding for the fight against illegal drugs in our community; and, WHEREAS, the proceeds and interest generated from this tax are deposited in a special Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Trust Fund that is segregated and not commingled with the general fund or any other special funds of the County; and, WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has recommended a contract out of anti-drug sales tax funds with the National Center for Fathering to provide a six-month pilot intervention program for fathers who are clients of the Prosecuting Attorney's Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court Programs; and, WHEREAS, the attached contract sets forth the agreement and understanding of the parties; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute the attached Agreement with the National Center for Fathering; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payments on this Agreement. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
