BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE, a tract of land described as follows:

Description:

 

The 18.4 ± acres are approximately one mile west of Missouri Route F on the south and east side of Hillside School Road and are legally described as all that part of Lot 1, FOX FARM and the West 21 acres of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 48 North, Range 29 West, all in Jackson County, Missouri and being more fully described as follows:  beginning at the Northwest corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 48 North, Range 29 West, in Jackson County, Missouri; thence along the North line of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 8, South 87 degrees 45 minutes 40 seconds East (this bearing and all following bearings being based on State Plane Grid North and established using R.T.K. G.P.S. equipment, and referenced to Kansas City Metro Control Station JA-10), 695.00 feet (deed), 698.24 feet (measured) to the East line of the West 21 Acres of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 8, as now established; thence along the said East line South 01 degrees 50 minutes 30 seconds West, 1312.21 feet to the Southeast corner of the West 21 acres of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 8, being on the South line of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 8; thence along said South line North 87 degrees 53 minutes 34 seconds West, 552.45 feet to a point being 36.50 West of the Southeast corner of Lot 1, FOX FARM, a subdivision of land in Jackson County, Missouri as recorded in the Recorder of Deeds office of Jackson County, Missouri; thence along a line 36.50 feet West of and parallel with the East line of said FOX FARM subdivision, North 01 degrees 44 minutes 33 seconds East, 300.01 feet to a point on the North line of said FOX FARM subdivision, said point being 36.50 feet West of the Northeast corner of said Lot 1; thence North 87 degrees 53 minutes 34 seconds West, 127.00 feet; thence North 01 degrees 44 minutes 33 seconds East, 46.49 feet; thence North 87 degrees 53 minutes 34 seconds West, 16.50 feet to a point on the West line of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 8; thence along said West line North 01 degrees 44 minutes 33 seconds East, 967.33 feet to the Point of Beginnings, less and except that part in County Roads.  Containing 799,438.121 square feet or 18.353 acres, more or less.

 

 

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Robert Beebe, Jr. (RZ-2007-439), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application at a public hearing on July 19, 2007, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
