IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing Change Order No. 1 (final) to the contract with Embrey Excavating of Kingsville, MO, for the Hunter Galvin Intersection and Allen Road Drainage Improvements, Project No. 2297, decreasing the contract amount by $2,920.00. Intro RESOLUTION #11270, May 6, 1996 INTRODUCED BY John Graham, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 11021, dated November 20, 1995, enter into a contract with Embrey Excavating of Kingsville, MO, in the actual amount of $85,233.40, for the Hunter Galvin Intersection and Allen Road Drainage Improvements, Project No. 2297; and, WHEREAS, the proposed Change Order No. 1 (final), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary to adjust all variable contract quantities to as-built quantities, as set forth in the original contract, and will result in a decrease of $2,920.00 in the contract amount; and, WHEREAS, all work contemplated by the original contract has been completed and is fully acceptable to the County; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Change Order No. 1 to the aforesaid contract be, and is hereby, approved and the Director of Public Works be, and is hereby authorized to execute the said change order on behalf of the County; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make final payment on the contract, and to release the encumbrance on the contract balance of $2,920.00. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
