Title

A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute agreements with certain outside agencies funded by the County's Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund for the 2005 fiscal year term from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2005, which are engaged in anti-drug treatment activities and purposes, at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $3,013,734.00.

Body

WHEREAS, the COMBAT Commission has recommended that the County Executive should be authorized to execute agreements with the following outside agencies engaged in anti-drug treatment activities for services from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2005 for the County and its citizens at the levels of funding recommended by the COMBAT Commission on December 21, 2004; and,

 

WHEREAS, these agencies for which agreements should be executed for the 2005 year, and the respective amounts recommended for the 2005 fiscal year term of January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2005, are as follows:

WHEREAS, the execution of agreements extending the services of these agencies, in the amounts indicated, is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute agreements with the agencies listed in this Resolution, in the respective amounts indicated, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
