IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
A RESOLUTION awarding a term and supply contract on Bid No. 71-95 for the furnishing of maintenance agreements on non-Motorola mobile radios for use by various County departments to Custom Radios Communications of Kansas City, MO, and Motorola Communications of Lenexa, KS, to provide for their needs for the upcoming one-year period, in the estimated aggregate amount of $31,646.40.

INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 71-95 for the furnishing of maintenance agreements on non-Motorola mobile radios for use by various County departments; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the actual amounts for the respective vendors as follows:
VENDOR AWARD
Custom Radios Communications $13,849.40
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Motorola Communications $17,797.00
Lenexa, KS
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on a need basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases will, of necessity, be determined as each using agency places its order, with certification made at that time within amounts previously budgeted for the spending agency.
