BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE, a tract of land described as follows:
Description:  
 
The 4.4 ± acres are approximately ½ ± mile north of Pink Hill Road on the west side of Owens School Road and specifically described as part of the Northeast quarter of Section 18, Township 49, Range 30 West, in Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:  Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Northeast quarter of said section; thence North 87 degrees 24 minutes 20 seconds West, along the South line of the East half of the Northeast quarter of said section, a distance of 40.00 feet, to the Point of Beginning; thence continuing along said South line, North 87 degrees 24 minutes 20 seconds West, a distance of 882.77 feet; thence North 01 degrees 43 minutes 32 seconds East, a distance of 227.03 feet; thence South 87 degrees 24 minutes 20 seconds East, a distance of 842.76 feet; thence South 01 degrees 43 minutes 32 seconds West, a distance of 227.63 feet, to the Point of Beginning.
 
Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Janey Myslivy requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application at a public hearing on August 16, 2007, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
