Body

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing, pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the award of contracts for the furnishing of snow removal equipment parts and service for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments to American Equipment Company of Kansas City, KS, Knapheide Truck Equipment Company of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, Bybee Enterprises of Independence, MO, and Kranz of Kansas City, Inc., of Kansas City  (Jackson County), MO, in the estimated aggregate amount of $17,000.00, under existing government contracts of the City of Kansas City, MO, Contracts Nos. PA3942-01, PA3942-02, PA3942-03 and PA3942-04; and,

 

WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award under the existing government contracts be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

 

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
