RESOLUTION #13335, September 5, 2000

 

INTRODUCED BY  Terry Young, County Legislator

 

Body

WHEREAS, by Resolution 12842, dated August 9, 2000, the Legislature did award a contract for the furnishing of four motorcycles for use by the Sheriff's Department to Blue Springs Harley Davidson of Blue Springs, MO, at the actual cost of $2,000.00, plus four trade-ins; and,

 

WHEREAS, this contract is subject to annual renewal on the same terms; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Department has determined to renew this contract for the upcoming year; and,

 

WHEREAS, the acquisition of new police motorcycles has rendered the following motorcycles as surplus personal property:

                     One (1) Model Year 2000 Harley Davidson Road King Motorcycle,

                                            Model FLHPI, 1HD1FHW1XYY623770

 

                     One (1) Model Year 2000 Harley Davidson Road King Motorcycle,

                                            Model FLHPI, 1HD1FHW19YY623727

 

                     One (1) Model Year 2000 Harley Davidson Road King Motorcycle,

                                            Model FLHPI, 1HD1FHW15YY623840

 

                     One (1) Model Year 2000 Harley Davidson Road King Motorcycle,

                                            Model FLHPI, 1HD1FHW14YY623831

and,

 

WHEREAS, these vehicles have become excess to the needs of the department; and,

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to §1134., Jackson County  Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of these motorcycles by way of trade-in; therefore,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the identified existing motorcycles be and hereby are declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of them by way of trade-in.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
