BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RE a tract of land described as follows:

Description: A 51 ñ acres generally located « of a mile east of Cook Road on the north side of Major Road and specifically described as:
A tract of land being in the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 16, Township 48, Range 30, (SE 1/4, NW 1/4, NE 1/4, NW 1/4, SEC. 16-48-30), all in Jackson County, Missouri being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 16; thence along the South line of said Southeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter, North 88 degrees, 27 minutes 68 seconds West, 464.00 feet to the Point of Beginning of this tract; thence continuing along the South line of said Southeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter, North 68 degrees 27 minutes 58 seconds West, 198.63 feet to a point being the Southeast Corner of Doc. No. I-1188655; thence along the East line of said Doc. No. I-1188655, North 01 degrees, 56 minutes, 23 seconds East, 1322.91 feet (Deed = South 00 degrees, 01 minutes, 24 seconds East, 1323.30 feet) to a point being the Northeast corner of said Doc. No. I-1188655, said point being on the North line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 16; thence along said North line, and also being along the South line of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 16, North 38 degrees, 21 minutes, 31 seconds West (Deed = North 89 degrees, 23 minutes 48 seconds East) 660.00 feet to the Southwest corner of said Northeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter; thence along the West line of said Northeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter, North 01 degrees 56 minutes 18 seconds East, 1323.74 feet to the Northwest corner of said Northeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter; thence along the North line of said Northeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter, South 86 degrees, 13 minutes, 59 seconds East, 1320.25 feet to the Northeast corner of the said Northeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter; thence along the East line of the said Northeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter; South 01 degrees 51 minutes 45 seconds West, 1320.84 feet to the Southwest corner of said Northeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter; thence along the South line of said Northeast Quarter of Northwest quarter, and also being along the North line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 16, North 58 degrees, 21 minutes, 31 seconds West 99.00 feet to a point being the Northwest corner of Doc. No. I-260574; thence along the West line of said Doc. No. I-260574, and parallel to and 99.00 feet West of East line of the Southeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter of said Section 16, South 01 degrees, 54 minutes, 43 seconds West, 574.85 feet thence parallel to the South line of said Southeast quarter of Northwest quarter, North 88 degrees 27 minutes, 58 seconds, West 365.00 feet; thence parallel to the East line of the Southeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter of said Section 16, South 01 degrees, 54 minutes 43 seconds West, 747.00 feet to the point of beginning of this Tract, (except that part being in road right of way), as shown for Conveyance only and subject to the requirements as set forth in Schedule BI herein.
Section 2. The preliminary plat "Currigan Lake," creating a 14-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved.
Section 3. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Smith's LLC (RZ-98-109), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on June 18, 1998, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning...Attorney
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
