WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 12313, dated August 25, 1998, enter into a contract with Blacktop Paving & Construction of Eudora, KS, in the amount of $240,144.75, for the Longview Park Road shelter 2-3, Project No. 2378; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed Change Order No. 1, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary for installation of two gates on this road in order to maintain control over this area, as requested by the Parks and Recreation Department, and said change order will result in an increase not to exceed $6,960.00; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Change Order No. 1 to the aforesaid contract is approved and the County Executive is authorized to execute the change order on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
