Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 12905, dated October 11, 1999, the County entered into an Agreement with the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission to provide placement and supervision services for clients of the Prosecuting Attorney's Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court Programs, at a cost not to exceed $40,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13215, dated May 15, 2000, the County did extend the Agreement through May 31, 2001, in an amount not to exceed $40,000.00, so that additional Drug Court and Deferred Prosecution clients could be served during that period; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney now recommends that the Agreement, as extended, be amended to provide for the payment of additional compensation to the Commission for its services, in an amount not to exceed $11,250.00; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Second Addendum to Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the Prosecuting Attorney's recommendation in this regard; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Second Addendum to Agreement with the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
