Body
WHEREAS, the COMBAT Department has a need for television production, marketing, and air time for public service announcements regarding the COMBAT Drug-Crime Hotline for the period of July 20, 2009, through August 9, 2009; and,
WHEREAS, in consideration of the unique nature of the television industry and the specific markets served by and viewership ratings of the provider, the Director of COMBAT recommends award to KCCP Trust d/b/a Time Warner Cable of Milwaukee, WI, at a cost to the County not to exceed $20,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to fund this expense; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 2009 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Director of COMBAT, and that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County an agreement with KCCP Trust d/b/a Time Warner Cable of Milwaukee, WI, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
