A RESOLUTION recognizing the Love, Wallace, Sanders Family on its 15th reunion, which spans over a thirty-year period, to be held in Kansas City, Missouri, on August 7 through August 10, 2008.

WHEREAS, in Spring 1978, the planning of a birthday party for George Proctor III by Brenda Proctor, Ernestine Sims, and Sister Babe turned into the first Love, Wallace, Sanders Family Reunion, held in Waterloo, Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, this great family reunion has continued to be held in a different state every two years, as an opportunity to bring this large extended family together; and,
WHEREAS, the Love, Wallace, Sanders Family Reunion has been held in many different states, including Iowa, Wisconsin, Kentucky, California, Illinois, New Mexico, Mississippi, Nebraska, Louisiana and Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the descendants of Scott Love derived from first wife, Josephine Wallace, and second wife, Molly Sanders; and,
WHEREAS, while the family is "Divided by Distance, They are Inextricably Bound by the Descendants of Love, Wallace, and Sanders;" now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby recognizes the Love, Wallace, Sanders Family, and congratulates it "Coming Together as Family Spanning 30 Years."

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
