Body
WHEREAS CEG Manufacturing Inc. of Oak Grove, MO is requesting to acquire real property from Jackson County because the surplus parcel runs through the business’s current parking lot; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 11 of the Jackson County Code, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing issued Request for Proposals 26-005 for the sale of a County owned parcel; and,
WHEREAS, if awarded, the surplus property will be sold to CEG Manufacturing Inc. of Oak Grove, MO in the amount of $52,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the proceeds of the sale will be acquired in the budget lines of the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 11 of the Jackson County Code, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the acceptance of the bid received, authorization of the final sale, and execution of any documents necessary to complete the sale; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute any and all documents necessary for the accomplishment of this sale.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
