AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established pursuant to the Unified Development Code by rezoning a certain 5.5± acre tract from District AG (Agricultural) to District RR (Residential Ranchette).

Body

 BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "AG" (Agricultural) and “RR” (Residential Ranchette) Districts, so that there will be transferred from District AG to District RR 5.5± tract of land located at 8504 S. Hillside Road in Jackson County, MO, legally described as follows:

Description: A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, Section 19,

Township 48, North of the Base line, Range 29 West of the 5th Principal Meridian,

Jackson County, Missouri and being more particularly described as follows:

Commencing at the East Quarter corner of said Section 19; thence with the East line of

the Northeast Quarter, Section 19 North 02 degrees 04 minutes 01 seconds East,

820.46' to the Southeast corner of the North 495 feet of the Southeast Quarter

of the Northeast Quarter, Section 19, and the Point of Beginning; thence leaving said

Point of Beginning with the South line of the aforesaid North 495' of the

Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, North 87 degrees 57 minutes 05 seconds

West, 526.50 feet, thence leaving said South line North 02 degrees 04 minutes 01

seconds East, 455.00 feet; thence South 87 degrees 57 minutes 05 seconds East,

526.50 feet to a point on the East line of the Northeast Quarter, Section 19; thence with

said East line South 02 degrees 04 minutes 01 seconds West, 455.00 feet back to the

Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Scott and Tammy Lightner, (RZ-2024-676), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 6 to 0 to recommend APPROVAL of this application after a public hearing on May 16, 2024, does hereby adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
