IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
AN ORDINANCE repealing schedule II to chapter 2, Jackson County Code, 1984, relating to the salaries of County employees not within the merit system, and enacting one new schedule relating to the same subject.
Intro
ORDINANCE #4339, August 29, 2011
INTRODUCED BY Scott Burnett, County Legislator
Body
WHEREAS, the County Counselor has requested the addition of a few new positions to the schedule of salary ranges for the employees of his office; and,
WHEREAS, the addition of these positions will allow the County Counselor the flexibility to reorganize the office in a manner that, in his opinion, best accommodates the skills of existing staff and will not result in the creation of a newly-budgeted position or a new hire; and,
WHEREAS, the County Counselor has also requested modest adjustments to some of the salary ranges within the office, to allow incumbents in those positions to participate in any future merit pools that might become available; and,
WHEREAS, these modifications are in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
