IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION awarding a term and supply contract on Bid No. 198-98 for the furnishing of LP (propane) gas for use by the Sheriff's and Parks and Recreation Departments to Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Inc., of Richmond, MO, to provide for their needs for the upcoming one-year period, in the estimated amount of $13,000.00. Intro RESOLUTION 12537, February 16, 1999 INTRODUCED BY Terry Young, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 198-98 for the furnishing of LP (propane) gas for use the Sheriff and Parks and Recreation Departments to provide for their needs for the upcoming one-year period; and, WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids thereon bids from the following: VENDOR BID Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Inc. $0.399 per gal Richmond, MO Suburban Propane $0.489 per gal Kansas City, KS Ferrellgas $0.549 per gal Kansas City (Jackson County), MO and, WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Ray-Carroll County Grain Growers, Inc., of Richmond, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
