Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 31-02 for a twelve-month term and supply contract for the furnishing of resale sundry and novelty items for use by the Parks and Recreation Department Marinas; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest two bids thereon bids from the following:
VENDOR
St. Joseph Distributing Company
St. Joseph, Missouri
Anderson Wholesale
Muskogee, Oklahoma
and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be made to St. Joseph Distributing Company of St. Joseph, Missouri, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract thereby made.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on a need basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases will, of necessity, be determined as each using agency places its order, with certification made at that time within amounts previously budgeted for the spending agency.
