WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 11-08, for the furnishing of golf course renovation services for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty-two (22) solicitations were distributed and five (5) responses were received as follows:

SEMA Golf, Centennial, CO $2,138,322.00
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that award be made to Mid-America Golf and Landscape, Inc., of Lee's Summit, MO, as the lowest and best bidder; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing further recommends a 5% contingency to cover any additional circumstances that may arise, at a cost to the County not to exceed $65,000.00, for a total amount not to exceed $1,398,390.70; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached agreement for the furnishing of golf course renovation services with Mid-America Golf and Landscape, Inc., of Lee's Summit, MO, at a cost to the County not to exceed $1,333,390.70, with an additional 5% contingency to cover any additional circumstances, for a total cost not to exceed $1,398,390.70, and to execute for the County any and all other documents necessary to the accomplishment of this award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
